Brent Faiyaz takes the scenic route in new visual “WY@” Starring Lupita Nyoung’o

Following a series of teasers, Brent Faiyaz releases his collaborative visual alongside actress Lupita Nyong’o.

Brent Faiyaz returns with his latest visual for his single “WY@.“ For this video, Brent recruits Academy Award winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o to play his love interest. Earlier this week, fans interest began to peak as Brent took to Instagram teasing the visual with a steamy skit between him in Lupita. The teaser features Brent complimenting Lupita as the two barely broke eye contact. The songs official music video further encapsulates their onscreen chemistry.

The video entails a cinematic love story between Brent and Lupita’s characters. The opening scene shows Brent and Lupita in a car breezing through a desert with no end. The duo appear to be experiencing highs and lows as they argue in the car. Further along the chemistry heats up between them as they began to walk along the desert at sunset. As they lean in to share a kiss, a director yells “ And Cut” in which the setting becomes a behind the scenes setting. As the video continues, more scenes feature Brent walking through a darker version of the setting. More scenes further highlight Brent and Lupita’s love story.

Towards the end of the video, Brent and Lupita attempt to go in for another kiss in which Brent wakes up from a dream. He turns on the TV and see’s Lupita on a talk show. On the show, Lupita confirms to the host about the “Short Film” she was working on with Brent in the music video. You can watch the full visual down below.

Moreover, the single “WY@“ hails from Brent Faiyaz’s latest project Larger Than Life. The song follows as one of several singles including “Pistachios” as well as “Moment Of Your Life” featuring Coco Jones. Ultimately, the surprise project features 14 singles which feature artists such as A$AP Rock, Babyface Ray, Missy Elliot, Tommy Richman and Timbaland to name a few. Commercially, the project debuted at number 11 on the ‘Billboard Top 200’ chart.
