Usher and Chris Brown brought a hometown guest into the mix during the second night of The R&B Tour’s Houston stop: Don Toliver.
The Houston-born artist joined the pair onstage Saturday, October 10, at NRG Stadium, adding a local moment to the tour’s two-night run in the city. The stadium shows put two generations of R&B hits on the same bill, while Toliver’s surprise appearance gave Houston fans another reason to make the night their own.
The R&B Tour pairs Usher and Brown for a stadium-sized showcase of their catalogs. In Houston, the weekend also brought out familiar faces from the city’s music scene. Bun B joined Usher on the first night, with Slim Thug appearing during a performance of Mike Jones’ “Still Tippin’.” Toliver’s appearance on night two kept the hometown energy going.

For Toliver, the guest spot was a return to a stage in the city where he grew up, now as one of Houston’s most recognizable artists. His appearance gave the tour a distinctly local touch, turning the Houston dates into more than a stop on the schedule.
Tank, Mario and Eric Bellinger are also part of the tour, adding more R&B voices to the lineup. Their presence gives the show another layer, connecting the headliners’ stadium-sized performances with artists whose music has helped shape the genre across the past two decades.
