I’m born and raised in Atlanta, GA which I am currently residing at now.
What is your artist name? What is your real name? How did you get your artist name?
My artist name is Diamond P, my real name is QuWanda McCoy, I got my artist name from my uncle, he always said that I was a Diamond and my daughter name is Princess so I shortened it to Diamond P.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?
I would describe my sound as real and hood. I speak on situations that I’ve experienced and or seen with my own eyes.
What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?
I’m passionate about music because it soothes my mind & it’s great for meditation. My son inspires me and motivates me. My son was murdered recently and he took me to a whole different place.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
My main musical influences are Boyz N Da Hood, OutKast, Oomp Camp, Gangsta Boo, Mia X, Trina, Whitney Houston, Kirk Franklin; all of my Atlanta people and more.

The project that I’m currently promoting is a new single titled “IT’Z WHATEVA” with the legendary DJ Unk, Myself, and the legendary Pastor Troy.

This project is definitely a hood single, bringing back the old Atlanta and letting the people know “IT’Z WHATEVA”
