Mantra goes off in the official visualizer for “NOTHING FREESTYLE”

Mantra recently released the official visualizer for his song “NOTHING FREESTYLE,” and it is fire! He is an anime-inspired rapper with one of the more exciting aesthetics to come out of the underground. In addition, he’s a lyricist who delves into deeper meanings and themes in his music. The video can be found on the OMF Music YouTube channel. OMF is a collective Mantra is a part of, and his visualizer is the second video to ever go up on the channel. The song is short and sweet, totaling over a minute and a half long, but every second is pure bliss.

It’s crazy that everything Mantra said was off the top of his head. He starts the song by saying he misses two deceased friends. This ultimately sets the tone for the rest of the song. He spoke about how so many people have it out for him, and he doesn’t understand why. Even so, he plans to disregard his haters and show them how his hard work will pay off. He also touches on the fact that he is a part of a group of people that are treated poorly day in and day out. He spoke his truth on this track and tried to inspire others to tell theirs so they could all rise against the hate.

Losing my freedom, I live with no choices, waking up everyday hearing these voices

Mantra on “NOTHING FREESTYLE”

The production of this song seems simplistic, but in actuality, it’s not. The melody is a xylophone that gives off this childish and soothing feeling. In addition, the producer chose to switch up the tempo at different moments in the song, making for a unique experience. Nowadays, producers can get lazy and just let the same loup play repeatedly, but “NOTHING FREESTYLE” is the exact opposite of that. Sure, the melody seemed simple initially, but the producer’s artistic choices and changes made it worthwhile.
