MC David J from Augusta, Georgia recently released his song “Pull Up!” and it’s the rage song listeners love.
The new hype track makes you want to jump up and down and move. The high-energy track definitely sets MC David J apart from his peers, as sounds of heavy bass and rhythm flood each track he puts out. He also says that his upcoming music is self-produced, and he’s proud of that aspect.

What city are you from/ Where are you based now?
I am originally from Augusta, Georgia but I do claim Atlanta to be my stomping grounds and home!
What is your artist name? What is your real name? How did you get your artist name?
My artist name is MC David J. My real name is David Jackson. I just enjoy the art form of lyrics and performing to be honest. MC stands for Master of Ceremonies and Microphone Controller. It’s not used much anymore and I figure why not. So many “lil’s” the MC has almost been forgotten.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?
I’ve got a lot of hype music. Music you can jump up and down to. Moshpit and rage to! Exciting and bass filled.
What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?
I want to create music that resignations with the people. Sounds and lyrics people can relate to. I’m inspired to push music to the limits and reach new sound barriers. I aim to bring a fierce energy to the music industry and I want to be remembered as one of the greatest.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
Some if my main influences stem from Jazz, lofi, and old school hip hop. I’d hate to name any one person in particular but I definitely hope to be an influence to others one day myself.
Tell us the name of the project you are currently promoting? What inspired this project?
My latest single released is called PULL UP! It’s filled with bass and excitement and you can jump up and down to it. I’m almost finished with my new album called DYING TOMORROW which is self-produced. This will be one of my most musically honest projects yet.

My latest single dropped September 30th. I do not have a set date for my album just yet!
