New Music Friday: The best new music featuring Yeat, Rob49, and Fetty Wap

The best new music from the week of March 27th!

It’s New Music Friday! At last, spring is finally here, and we have your back for your spring cleaning playlist. Building on this, this week’s edition of New Music Friday features standout releases from Yeat, Rob49, Fetty Wap, and many more.

New Music Friday Picks

Yeat – ‘ADL’ (Album)

As evidence shows, its officially time for me to hop off the Yeat train after ingesting his new album, ‘ADL.’ Time and again, he has shown he doesn’t possess the luster/hunger that he once had. For the most part, there’s nothing memorable or creatively-daring to make this project worth your time.

Rob49 – “Da F*ck (Remix) ft Lil Yachty, G Herbo, G Youngin, & BTY Beedo

Reflecting on the glory days, posse cut remixes are what made rap, and Rob49 has me reminiscing with his new single. Taking a closer look, each feature adds a different element to the pot. Above all, Yachty surely had the best feature, as he comfortably finds a pocket to prosper.

Fetty Wap – ‘Zavier’ (Album)

Taking everything into account, it’s poetic that Fetty Wap is back making music after his legal hardships. However, it’s safe to say he still has to shake off some rust before he’s back to his prime form. Typically, when rappers go to jail, they temporarily lose their touch, and Fetty could gain it back with consistency & patience.

R&B Corner

Elmiene – ‘sounds for someone’ (Album)

Shifting gears onto R&B, Elmiene symbolically held a “coming out” party with his new album. Over the past decade, R&B has taken a nosedive, and this album gives you hope that new stars are being made. Looking ahead, his next album will likely be even more epic as he recently been embraced by R&B legends like Tank or Timberland.

Honey Bxby – “Shame” ft Bunna B & Queen Naija

It’s worth noting that March is International Women’s Month and “Shame” is the perfect release to commemorate it. Due to the fact, that we have a star-studded ensemble led by Honey Bxby, this track has the recipe for success. As a whole, this is the type of music needed for the warmer months.

Arin Ray – “Both Of Us”

Picking up where he left off, Arin makes his presence felt with “Both Of Us.” Typically, we are not met with artists that bring this level of vulnerability as he did. Not to mention, his sharp songwriting feels very intentional and paints a vivid picture for listeners.

Rapper’s Delight

Skrilla – “Roger Dat”

Finally, Skrilla has announced and begun the rollout for his upcoming album, ‘Z.’ Without a doubt, “Roger Dat” boldly sets the tone for what’s to come. As proven, his raw intensity is what sets him apart and will likely make him an XXL Freshman.

Bizzy Crook – “Risky” ft Rick Ross & C Stunna

Finally, our last spot of New Music Friday goes to Grammy winner, Bizzy Crook’s, “Risky.” At its core, the hometown linkup between two Miami rappers was an outright genius decision. This raises questions about why there aren’t more Florida collaborations based on how easy they make it look.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of New Music Friday!
