Despite being one of rap’s most beloved personalities, the rapper is known to take time away from music after release and touring. “Soccer Dad” is a triumphant track as ScHoolBoy stands at the top of the hill, reaping the rewards from groundwork he laid for himself years ago. He sounds reenergized and focused, delivering his lines with an off-kilter rhyme scheme. The snare and symbal combo behind the horns represent Q marching to the beat of his own drum these days.
