Building up for a blockbuster album in May

The “Free My Mind” auteur has been a seminal figure in the rise of Afrobeats following her recent successes. Her honors include the record-breaking record “Essence” alongside Nigerian pop sensation Wizkid. The single became the first Nigerian record in history to chart in the Billboard Hot 100. Thereafter, it remained on the charts for 52 consecutive weeks including bagging a Top 10 bow. Tems has grown leaps to become an international artist hailed from Nigeria.

Tems, 27, was also bestowed with a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance last year for her contributions on the single “Wait for U” by American superstars Future and Drake.

Nominations across prestigious awards such as the Oscars for Best Original Song “Lift Me Up” with Rihanna for the 2022 film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ among other accolades has propelled her to unrivaled success.
