NLE Choppa – “Slut Me Out 2”

After teasing the record during his set at Rolling Loud California 2024, NLE Choppa has released the predecessor to his 2023 record “Slut Me Out.” The rapper’s new playful dance meets hip-hop cut finds the Memphis rapper delivering extremely raunchy lyrics that instruct a woman on how she can please him in the bedroom. In addition to this, NLE Choppa says he understands why certain ladies want to be on his body. Through the chorus, he delivers, “If I was a bad b***h, I’d wanna hump me too, hmm/I’d wanna trap me too, hmm/None freaky that I wouldn’t do to me.” NLE Choppa also showcases his humorous chops in his rhymes while describing some intimate moments. One line that highlights this goes, “Squirt in my eyes til I cry/B***h sit on my face/Suffocate me til I/Suffocate me ’till I die.”

Future & Metro Boomin – “Red Leather”

Future & Metro Boomin are back with a brand new album, and it’s 25 tracks long. One song in particular has been gaining a lot of traction and it’s due to a surprise feature from J. Cole. This collaboration follows Cole’s recent apology to Kendrick Lamar for his previous diss on “7 Minute Drill.” The reconciliation was prompted by Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Like That,” where he targeted both Cole and Drake, featured on Young Metro and Pluto’s We Don’t Trust You, released a week ago. Moreover, the song is building noteworthy attention & fan theories have been off the roof. This is definitely one of the best new songs on the album.

wolfacejoeyy – “I Know”

wolfacejoeyy lays his charm on a woman who’s caught his eye in “I Know.” The steamy, playful Whereis22-produced trap offering gives the burgeoning Staten Island artist room to showcase his melodic flow. Similarly, wolffacejoeyy utilizes his bag of rhymes to win this lady’s heart. Although he’s confident she’s into him, wolfacejoeyy does his part to keep this special someone on their toes. He delivers, “She on my body like I want you baby/She said Joey you just too too wavy’/She know that we don’t lose/It’s me and 22 baby.” Secondly, wolfacejoeyy spits, “How the f**k you gettin’ up in the club/Baby they play my s**t when I’m in the club/B***h I ain’t average.” Wolfacejoeyy plans on dropping his upcoming LP Valentino in the near future.

TRY – “Lay it Down (feat. Dreamdoll and Jay 1)

Dreamdoll and Jay 1 don’t waste time telling their love interest their desires in the TRY-produced offering “Lay It Down.” As the afrobeat meets electronica and hip-hop production sounds off, the two rappers use a call-and-response delivery, suggesting that this person “goes with the flow” instead of fighting temptation. Lyrically, Dreamdoll tells a suitor how to win her over, implying that one requirement is to wine and dine her. The rapstress follows up with confident bars, spitting, “You know I been that, you know I’m pricey, you gotta spend that/Take my cash app, and send that/He don’t act right, where his friend at.” Jay 1, on the other hand, drops admirable rhymes about a woman who’s captivated him with her dance moves. He also calls out the females who now “want me [him] ’cause I’m [he’s] making it.”

Myaap – “Actin’ Up (feat. Chicken P)”

Interpolating Souljia Boy‘s 2007 single “Booty Meat” with a West Coast bounce, Myaap and Chicken P’s new single “Actin’ Up” encourages listeners to shake what their mama gave them. In the first verse, Myaap forewarns her opps, saying she has shooters for the people who want smoke. Beforehand, the “Getting To It” hitmaker compliments the woman with exceptional dance moves and even drops some flex-worthy rhymes about her fashion sense, good looks, flourishing career, and more. She rhymes, “I’m the goat/Do this s**t with my eyes closed.” When Chicken P hops on the mic, he raps about a woman who’s captivated him with her derriere while calling out the broke boys who feel the need to put down women despite not having any drive or hustle themselves. Overall, “Actin’ Up” influences others to take pride in their talents unapologetically.

LunchMoney Lewis – “Rain or Shine”

LunchMoney Lewis commends individuals who have weathered several storms in his new song “Rain or Shine.” Over the jazzy R&B meets hip-hop offering, LunchMoney Lewis delivers sincere bars about the people who pray for brighter days. LunchMoney Lewis follows up with encouraging words. Moreover, the rapper echos the pain from fighting battles that most people don’t know about. “Rain or shine/Can’t let ’em steal your joy/You just keep your head up high,” he delivers. By the second verse, the rapper tells a story about a woman who became a single mother after being tricked by a man who gave her false promises. Despite these minor setbacks, the woman gets blessed after keeping her head up high and continuously grinding. Lyrics like “Baby, you a star, no matter the circumstances, remember who you are” show others that they control their own narrative. What do you think of LunchMoney Lewis’ being part of this best new songs list?

BBG Steppa – “Bisexual Glock”

In “Bisexual Glock,” BBG Steppa says he’s got a clip waiting for anyone who wants smoke, regardless of their gender. Backed by a spine-chilling trap offering, BBG Steppa details his retaliation methods for the opps, pushing them to stand on business. The rapper also raps about having assistance in case anyone needs to be stretched out. Lyrics like “We tryna score what you fuck n***as into/Me, and mines known for aiming at mental/Glock is bisexual aim at women too/N***a told what you mean what ya friend do/It’s up with the whole town beefing with kin too,” bring the narrative home. Elsewhere on the record, BBG expresses his support for a loved one who’s incarcerated. He raps, “Free BG man be missing my savage.”
