The versatile artist will be dropping her debut album this year, in Summer 2020.
Meet Vanessa Bejine: A rising artist born in West Covina, CA. Béjine is multi-talented singer with a distinctive vocal range.
Growing up listening to musical icons such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion, Béjine pulls from her list of muses to create and inspire the music that she makes now. In an interview with RemixdMag, Béjine said that she knew she wanted to pursue a career in music when she was just five years old.
“I feel like I’ve always kind of known that I wanted to sing,” the artist told RemixdMag. “I use to sing at family gatherings, and at night time when it was time for bed, I would go into both of my sisters’ rooms and sing them to sleep.”
The artist says she creates all of her songs from her own experiences, and prefers to write directly from the heart in order to “bring emotion into the music.”
Her songs, which include favorite singles such as “Addicted” and “Breathe You” showcase her ability to turn an emotional topic into a relatable track that anyone can enjoy. Béjine’s unique sound and delivery set her apart from the crowd, and offer an uplifting melody to sing along to. She uses many soft pop vocals that are mixed with a strong piano and/or guitar instrumental, with upbeat mid-tempo vibes.
“Music has always been in my heart, but it wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles in 2012 that I really started pursuing it full-force and investing in it. I was introduced to a few people in the music industry and they helped me get started. From there, the rest is history.”
As far as what fans can look forward to from her, Béjine also announced that she will officially be releasing her first album this year (expected Summer 2020), and will also have two new music videos that she’s planning to drop this year.
In the meantime, you can listen to her latest single, “Better Days,” which is available on all streaming platforms.
“Every day is not always going to be good, but it’s important we keep pushing on, even in the moments we feel we cant go on anymore,” Béjine said. “That’s when our biggest breakthroughs happen. There’s ‘Better Days’!”
