After serving 6 months in prison, 42 Dugg is a FREE MAN!
At the height of his career, 42 Dugg went to jail. He got arrested due to not showing up to serve a six-month prison sentence in relation to illegal firearm possession. Detroit News reported in 2022 that his lawyers claimed he was not trying to flee the scene when he was caught. The lawyer also explained that they were trying to appeal in the case and 42 was not sure if he was to be required to show up to court. Long story short, the Detroit rapper pled guilty to failing to show up to court.
However, things are all good now as the rapper has been spotted jewelry shopping with Lil Baby. They went shopping at Jewelry Unlimited where 42 Dugg can be seen eyeing some nice watches.
42 Dugg is HOME!
CMG label head honcho Yo Gotti put 2 million behind any lawyer who can help get 42 Dugg out. As a result of Gotti’s actions, the rapper was officially released on Monday, October 16th from United States Penitentiary in Atlanta. The rapper served 6 months in the penitentiary, and during his incarceration he took to his Instagram to let his fans know his experience. But he later deleted the post.
“Atlanta US Marshalls trying keep me from going home,” 42 Dugg wrote. “I was supposed to be released on October 14th of 2022 last year. They illegally held me without reasoning because they felt my federal judge in Detroit should not have given me a bond. I let that slide, then after I got sentenced one of them told me he not sending me to a prison. He is going to make me do my time in a county jail which is ten times worse. Then he had the nerve to tell me he knows where I live.”
On the day of his release, Complex reported the rapper was picked up by Yo Gotti, Family, and friends. Right after being released, as per his wishes, the rapper wasted no time going to the studio. Also, Yo Gotti and the CMG family are set to hit the road for the Gangsta Art arena tour.
