Cash Cobain is reaching back into the 2000s for his latest release. The Bronx rapper and producer has teamed up with Chicago’s BabyChiefDoIt for “Betcha Can’t.” It’s a fun new single that flips D4L’s 2005 hit “Laffy Taffy” while putting Cash’s signature Slizzy spin on the snap-era sound.
Built around a stripped-down snap beat, “Betcha Can’t” is playful from the start. Cash floats over the production with an intentionally repetitive hook and the slick, unserious one-liners that have become a major part of his appeal. BabyChiefDoIt brings a noticeably different energy once he jumps in, giving the record an extra buzz without taking it too far outside Cash’s world.
The accompanying music video leans even harder into the throwback. Directed by MOSHPXT and Jay Jay Thakar, Cash and BabyChief channel the oversized fits, synchronized dances and party-heavy visuals that defined plenty of mid-2000s rap videos.

It also arrives as Cash continues teasing his long-awaited project, Party With Slizzy. “Betcha Can’t” follows May’s “I Wanna Rock,” another preview of the forthcoming album. Earlier this year, he also released “Wish,” which sampled Three 6 Mafia’s “Late Night Tip,” continuing his habit of pulling familiar records into his own off-kilter production style.
Outside of the music, Cash has stayed visible throughout 2026. He performed at Blue Note Los Angeles in June and recently popped up in an Amazon campaign centered around his “Cash Back Cobain” persona.
For an artist who helped push sexy drill beyond New York, “Betcha Can’t” feels like another reminder that Cash isn’t particularly interested in staying inside one sound.
With Party With Slizzy still on the way, he’s clearly having fun experimenting before the full project arrives.
