Check out Chucky Royale’s new single ‘Chawp Chawp’

Chucky Royale has shared his latest record “Chawp Chawp” with the REMIXD Mag editorial team and we think it’s a branded hit. Chucky mentioned to us in an exclusive interview that the song is emblematic of Jamaican party culture.

“The inspiration to this project is my Jamaican party culture,” he said. “A fun night out with me and my peoples. Growing up in Jamaica, partying and celebration is a way of life, it’s our culture. So this song is showing how we party and get down.”

Tied to his Jamaican roots, the song is a trail-blazer – from the sonic appeal, melodies incorporation, to his intricately sculpted lyrics, the chop manages to embody a boisterous and unhurried vibe. The music injects a cheerful, inviting and subtle feel, while his patois vocal intonation is untamable, mature and somehow keeps you coming back for more.

It makes complete sense as he explains his music is a hybrid of dancehall and underground rap – but he manages to retain a completely unique style, and this brightens his music with a notable authenticity.

“Listeners will get a mellow, upbeat vibe from my music. I would describe it as New age Dancehall music geared to incorporating Rap/Hip Hop culture. Half of my music will make you want to get up and dance, the next half will have you thinking and holding some meditations on life.”
