Jeezy is seemingly baring it all in a new sit down interview. Following the release of his new double album I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget, Jeezy released a sit down interview moderated by actress Nia Long. During the interview, Jeezy seemingly discussed his divorced with TV personality Jeannie Mai. Additionally, he revealed more about his stance on love and healing.

During the interview, Jeezy broke his silence on his reasoning for filing for divorce this past September. When asked about his stance on love, he revealed a shocking revelation. “As I sit here at 46 … I can’t honestly tell you I’ve experienced love, especially not unconditional there’s always something to it,” he said. Nia proceeded to ask him about the decision to end his marriage with Jeannie Mai. “God has put me in a different path and that path for me is going to intel for me taking care of myself, love myself, and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who been through all the things I’ve been through,” he revealed. Additionally, Jeezy shares how the couple utilized therapy to which did not help in his situation. Jeezy and Jeannie Mai were married for two years and share a one year old daughter, Monaco Jenkins.

Moreover, Jeezy who is typically very discreet other than music, has been in headlines about his personal life. In August, the “Put On” rapper released his first book Adveristy for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe. In the book, he got candid about his upbringing, adulthood, and other experiences through adversity. Through the book, he is hoping to inspire readers through his story. “I think to share your failures with your community and your peers and people that love you. They’ll just start to understand that it’s never too late, and that they can always push through, because sometimes you get in situations where you think it’s the end when it’s really the beginning,” he stared in an interview with Good Morning America
