Ye is going back to Mexico City, and this time it’s a stadium. Kanye West recently announced a show at Estadio Banorte for Friday, March 19, 2027. That’s the renamed Estadio Azteca. The Ye Mexico concert is billed as “The Greatest Show on Earth.” It showed up on the official @yestadium Instagram and on Ye’s tour site.
What we know about the Ye Mexico concert
The stadium reopened in 2026 after renovations for the World Cup. It has hosted Michael Jackson, U2 and Paul McCartney. Mexican outlet Ejecentral puts capacity at about 87,000. It also reports the show is likely tied to his album Bully.

Not his first Mexico City comeback
Ye played two nights at the Monumental Plaza de Toros México on January 30 and 31, 2026. Those were his first Mexico City shows since October 2008. Back then, he brought the Glow in the Dark Tour to the Palacio de los Deportes, as El País noted. Complex reported organizers expected more than 74,000 people across both nights. North West came out at both shows.

A bullring to a stadium is a big jump.
The controversy around the Ye Mexico concert
The comeback hasn’t been clean. In May 2025, streaming platforms pulled his song “Heil Hitler.” Australia barred him from entering, and a Slovakia festival dropped him. Days before the January shows, he ran a full-page apology in The Wall Street Journal. It addressed his antisemitic comments, as Billboard reported.
In Mexico City, the Israeli embassy warned about bootleg merch with Nazi symbols sold outside the bullring. Proceso covered the warning. In his Billboard interview, promoter Andrés Charvel also pointed to cancellations in Brazil and South Africa. He called them “unrelated to the artist.”
That history will shape the stadium date too. Ticket demand, sponsor comfort and local pushback are all open questions. We won’t know more until the on-sale.
How to get tickets
For now, the only official step is registration on the Ye Mexico City site, linked from the tour page. Prices, presale codes and the ticket seller are still to come. Superboletos sold tickets for the bullring shows. La Razón reported a 30% price cut a few days before the first night.
Why it matters
Ye keeps finding promoters and crowds outside the U.S. His reputation at home is still in pieces. Mexico City has become one of his most reliable markets. A sold-out stadium would be the biggest sign yet that the comeback works abroad. A weak on-sale would say the opposite. Either way, March is a test.
