Who is opening the ALOUD! Tour?
Lucky Daye hasn’t named any support acts yet. According to the announcement, openers come later, so check back here as we update the post.
The album behind the tour
Lucky Daye’s fifth album, ALOUD!, arrived Oct. 16 with 15 tracks and production from longtime collaborator D’Mile. The title plays on the tension between “allowed” and “aloud,” and the project grew out of an unexpected sabbatical in Brazil, as we noted in our New Music Friday roundup.
For features, you get Leon Thomas on “Fly U Out,” Pusha T on “Mouf Say,” and Muni Long and The Paradox on “Knockin.” So far, the singles are “Nowhere Fast,” “Fly U Out” and “Talk To Me.”
In his own words, the idea is simple. “I used to think I wasn’t allowed to do a lot of what I wanted, but I realized I had to allow myself to live ALOUD!” Lucky Daye said, per Rated R&B. “Don’t let anybody silence you or tell you who you’re supposed to be. Say what you want, move how you want, and dance your way through the hard times.”
That’s why these Lucky Daye tour dates matter. The run is his biggest North American headline tour to date, per the announcement.

Also, he has stayed busy outside his own album. He joined India Shawn on the summer single “Cotton Candy Blvd”, popped up as a special guest at Soulection’s 15-year anniversary show in Los Angeles, and just teamed with Coi Leray on the holiday duet “Milk N Cookies,” which made our latest New Music Friday.
