Kavin Donnell tells relatable story of past relationship on new single “Burner Account”

The single describes an ex flame who can’t stop lurking from a “Burner Account.”

The West Coast’s newest artist Kavin Donnell has dropped his latest single “Burner Account,”– a catchy song that describes an ex flame that “can’t let go,” of watching his account. It’s relatable, humorous, and truly an exciting concept that captures an element of storytelling for Donnell that fans can relate to.

“The hook requires some paying attention to as the song is about someone lurking on your page behind a fake account.” Donnell said in a recent interview with Remixd Magazine. “I feel like it’s a relatable song because we all know at least one person whether an ex or simply an old acquaintance that is no longer in contact with you but still watches what you may do.

His latest track “Burner Account” is a great example of his unique sound which he personally describes as a mix of 90’s R&B and spoken word.

From the age of six years old Kavin Donnell knew music would be his career path.

“I naturally found a liking for different genres of music and consistently performed at school talent shows,” he said.

It would not be until graduating high school and venturing out into the world that he would really lock in and commit to doing music. Fast forward to the present he is doing just that, remarking that he goes to the studio everyday and is working on a full-length project titled #FreakShitOnly. That project is expected to drop mid-June!

Regardless of the song or project the gifted artist releases he hopes that listeners receive the message that it is okay to be themselves.

“I feel like the world we live in forces a lot of us to pretend we are somebody that we are not. It’s okay to be yourself, you’d be surprised how many people relate to you,” he shared.
