New Music Friday: The best new music featuring 6LACK, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Coco Jones

The best new music from the week of March 20th!

It’s New Music Friday! All of a sudden, summer doesn’t feel like a fever dream with all this new music. Regardless of this, this week’s edition features standout releases from 6LACK, Mike WiLL Made-It, Coco Jones, and many more.

New Music Friday Picks

6LACK – “Bird Flu”

Prior to “Bird Flu,” the general public had lost all faith in 6LACK dropping again. In essence, he seems to have entered a new era based around a more mature sound. At the same time, this track served its purpose by setting a strong tone for his upcoming rollout.

Mike WiLL Made-It – ‘R3SET’ (Album)

Without hesitation, it’s extremely overdue for the world to give Mike his flowers as one of the most influential producers. Every so often, we get a flawless compilation album from a producer, and ‘R3SET’ is one of those examples. To elaborate, it’s filled with collabs from all your favs all in one place. To be clear, this album just needs one smash hit to cement itself in history.

Coco Jones – “LUVAGIRL”

Above all, 2026 is shaping up to a breakout year for Coco Jones. Immediately, the groovy instrumental catches your attention and adds to the aesthetic of the era she’s ushering in. Undoubtedly, her new single works due to them building a soundtrack for her vocals to run wild.

Female Fetales

Coi Leray – “Better Than Yours” ft Youngboy Never Broke Again

Once in a while, Youngboy will lend his talents for a feature and you never quite know what to expect. Taking a closer look at Coi’s new single, it’s obvious that YB didn’t give his best foot forward based on his short verse. As time goes on, I could see this track picking up traction via TikTok as it was made intentionally made for young women.

Jorja Smith – “Price Of It All”

Eventually speaking, we are going to have a serious conversation regarding Jorja being in the same tier as Adele. Reflecting on “Price Of It All,” this track showcases her evolution as a vocalist, as she sings with such conviction. Equally worth noting, that her song-writing ability has made strong strides making this track a hit.

Fih – “FRNDSAgain” ft Swsh

For the most part, these New Music Friday posts are primarily dedicated to R&B/Hip-Hop. Regardless of this, we had to make an exception for Fih’s single, as it turned me into a believer in indie music. Overall speaking, this is one of those tracks that you have to fully open your mind to enjoy as she embraces being different from anyone else.

Rapper’s Delight

Rick Ross – “Minks in Miami” ft Max B & French Montana

In most cases, a rap career doesn’t last 20 years, but Rick Ross has been able to do the unthinkable with his longevity. Even now, on his new single, his age never plays a factor in his raps, as he is still giving us elite verses. Regardless of this, “Minks in Miami” would’ve sounded better without Max B/French Montana who don’t hold their weight at all.

Joshykun – ‘It’s Up For Me(Album)

Finally, our last spot of New Music Friday goes to ATL’s own Joshykun and his newly released album. As a whole, I love the pressure he’s applying as he unlocked even more flows this time around. All in all, with a run-time of 28-minutes, there never seems to be a moment wasted thanks to his brilliant mind.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of New Music Friday!
