Renown UK DJ and fashion muse Siobhan Bell becomes the latest guest on media aficionado Tallie Spencer‘s Show Some Love podcast.
Kicking off from the dating conversation inspired by Episode 7 with Rucci, Bell and Tallie explore the role of dating among related topics.
The episode titled “Should You Date To Marry?” sees the two successful women delve into matters dating a working woman in the music industry, busy schedule-conflict, reasons for dating and more.
“The dating stage is to give you a perspective of things you do want and don’t. As well as fun it can give you a direction for the things you do want and don’t want” Bell an accomplished DJ got outspoken.
She doubled down on dating as an entertainment and discovery activity as opposed to the linear concept of it being serious all the time leading to marriage.
“I love dating for fun” she opened up. “I think what we do though (professionals in the music industry), we shouldn’t pressurize ourselves that if I go on a date, I’m gonna marry this guy. I think we should go into dating more open and just because we”re dating’ve dated, it doesn’t mean that it’s a waste of time or you’re not the right guy”.
The two would further go on to scrutinize their ideal first dates, expectations in dating, dating cultures in different cities, types of daters, dating within the same industry, when to cut off a dater, and equally red and green flags in dating.
Things also got interesting when they both agreed that they could not date to just be “friends”:
“Personally, I’m not dating for friendship” Tallie quipped “If we’re going on a date, we’ve already established an attraction and it’s kind of going in the direction of where are we taking this? A date is a date and it already sets the tone for how you see me, so even if things don’t work out, it will take time for me to see you as a friend”
From having contriving work schedules, being in extremely social environments, the discussion went on about how dating women and men in the entertainment business can be a task, and requires individuals of grace.
