Who would you say are the people who helped you the most during your musical journey?

I was mentored and inspired by my aunt, Yvonne Jackson, an international blues artist, who earned her fame through her I’m Troubled album in the early 90s while touring as an opening act for BB King, Bo Diddley, and many other renowned blues singers. My journey started as a professional singer at the age of 13, when the queen of Miami soul and sound, the iconic Ms. Betty Wright, adopted me and took me under her wings.

Are there any artists that have influenced your work?

There are so many artists new and old that have impacted me in some type of way. My two biggest influencers are my aunt and mom Betty Wright. The knowledge and drive they put into music me makes me who I am today.

Where did you get the inspiration for your track “Sally”?

Sally is based on my lifestyle. I have a ranch with many horses, and Sally is my real horse. This video gives the audience a chance to see the nature side of me. I love my horses. This song has done over 4 million streams in just 4-and-a-half months. I feel the success came from the passion that I posses for my ranch life.

Does you have any plans for future projects that we should know about?

I always have something in the making. There are so many different possibilities on the table, and we hope you stay tuned to see what we have in store. Be on the lookout near Christmas!
